Katherine Hackl Public Art - NJ Pinelands Commission

The NJ Pinelands Commission Building is host to many visitors and students looking to learn more about the ecologically unique region. This installation included artwork that the visitor is able to interact with in a functional and memorable manner. Katherine was selected by the New Jersey State Council of the Arts, the New Jersey Pinelands Commission, the Fund for NJ, and the Lammey and Giorgio Architects. The Art projects include a series of tile murals in the main floor library which illustrate particular environments within the pinelands region, and an 8' oak bench with an inset marble and tile mosaic surface illustrating a Pinelands bog scene.
